The Ulama – our respected teachers and scholars – are the guardians of knowledge, guiding our communities with wisdom, teaching our children, preserving our faith, and dedicating their lives to the service of Islam.
Yet, despite their invaluable role, the reality is heartbreaking: the vast majority of Ulama struggle daily to provide for their families. Many receive no fixed income and rely solely on irregular charity, often living with financial insecurity while carrying the weight of their communities on their shoulders.
At HMD Charity, we believe that those who carry the torch of knowledge should not be left to struggle in silence. Our Ulama Assistance Project is designed to provide scholars with a stable and dignified income, enabling them to focus fully on their mission – teaching, guiding, and serving – without the constant worry of how to feed their families.
